Gioele Amaro

A master of the art of synthesis, Amaro combines, transforms, and blurs the boundaries to construct a dialogue between traditional mediums (painting, photography, drawing) and new technologies. His work is digitally painted, then printed on canvas. He then meticulously reworks each canvas, applying several layers of varnish.

Designed as a book-object, the catalog features contributions from writers and curators, including Mariuccia Casadio, Jérôme Sans, Cristiana Perrella, Nicolas Trembley, and Kitty Scott. It reviews the artist's exhibitions at Almine Rech in Paris, London, Brussels, and Shanghai, along with a museum exhibition in Copenhagen and his notable collaboration on a billboard with Valentino in Paris.
